Happy Thanksgiving!
We seemed to have done a lot this month, but we just didn't take many pictures. The girls were instrumental in a fundraising campaign for Stacey's workplace, Bread for the City. We had our usual Thanksgiving crew in to visit for the holiday, and also an exciting visit with old friends. Our most exciting event this month, however, was celebrating Samantha's Bat Mitzvah!
We have very few pictures from this month, but we make up for it next month...
**Overheard this month: Robin**
After reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar
with Robin, it was explained that caterpillars turn into butterflies.
Her response: "Why do butterflies not turn into dolphins?"
Don't Be A Turkey!
Amanda and Robin do their best to look intimidating while encouraging others to donate to Bread for the City's annual fundraiser, which pays for us to give away thousands of turkeys (and all the trimmings) to needy families each year. An extra vacation day goes to the staff person who raises the most money and/or has the most donors. Thanks to these girls, Stacey was one of the winners!
Fun With Old Friends
Elijah and Maggie were in town for a quick visit and took some time out to play with us at Polk playground.
Amanda and Elijah gathered at their favorite spot again (there they were in 2008, too).

We once again hosted the Collins family, along with Karyn & Art.
Samantha's Bat Mitzvah!
We had an amazing weekend celebrating with family and were so proud of Samantha and how hard she worked. She did a fantastic job and earned the right to party all night long. We had such fun with her and all of our extended family!
The girls got gussied up
for the party.
Robin is wearing the (exact) same dress that Samantha wore as a flower girl
in Stacey & Aleck's wedding 8 years before.
