Amanda had lots of fun this month playing with her cousins and making top-notch sock choices. It's been pretty chilly here, so we've been spending a lot of time inside, much to Amanda's dismay. She giggles uncontrollably when she steps out the door each morning despite the freezing cold, and runs down the driveway forcing us to chase her. We would be annoyed if she wasn't having so much fun doing it. We've had a little bit of snow here, but Amanda didn't get a chance to experience it, unfortunately.
Amanda is also talking more and more each day, even saying sentences of up to 4 words. Her newest talent is singing. She can sing the Dora the Explorer theme song with gusto. And, most exciting, she can count to 10 (with a little assistance). She has a mental block on the number 2, and needs a little reminder about 7, but other than that, she can make it all the way through!
Amanda also discovered princesses this month. This really fuels the nature/nurture debate.

One of Amanda's favorite things to play with at her cousins' house is their slide. There is a small hole in the platform and a crawl space underneath. Amanda loves it when her cousins hide under there and play peek-a-boo with her.

Her tastes have matured. She now requests a Tall, Whole Milk, No-Whip Leche.

While going through some clothes that Amanda's cousins passed on to her, she discovered this gown and immediately wanted to put it on. She loved wearing it, looking down at herself and saying "pretty" over and over.
