Amanda- July 2007


STACEYALECK.COM		Amanda Rachel Amanda was born on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at 3:16 pm JULY 2007 Amanda had an eventful month, visiting with family in California, taking her first trip to the zoo, and tasting her first Slurpee. She also learned some table manners (both good and bad). Her walking skills also improved to the point where she is just about running.

		Happy 4th of July--Bring on the Fireworks!





		A Trip to California!
		Amanda spent time with Oma and Opa, and also got to see Uncle Menko, Aunt Cami, and cousin Matty.


		Matty is very high energy. He even managed to tire out Amanda!





		Matty taught Amanda how to work some of the toys, and also the value of a good truck. Or two.

		This mess was so bad that Amanda actually got a sponge bath IN the highchair.


		FREE SLURPEE DAY!
		Those in the know (and you know who you are) know that every year on July 11th, 7-11 stores offer a free, 7.11 oz cup for Slurpees. Amanda happily partook in Aleck's cup this year.



		It's a Zoo Out There!

		We saw zebras, flamingos, meerkats, seals, and more. Amanda had a great time.






		On the Path to Self-Sufficient Feeding

		Amanda can now feed herself with a spoon (as long as someone else scoops the food onto it for her) and has experimented with drinking from a regular cup.




		The best toys... are not toys at all.


		Amanda pilfered this aluminum pan from the kitchen and it has become one of her favorite things to play with these days. Here she is playing with the balls from the toy, alternately placing them in the toy and then in the pan.
		She also likes to walk around with the pan using it as a drum, a receptacle to carry other toys, and a hat.
